Strategy DescriptionNY Opening Manipulation + Liquidity Sweep + Large FVG Retrace StrategyOverviewThis strategy applies Smart Money Concepts (SMC) logic to capture NY open reversals after a liquidity sweep, using only large Fair Value Gaps (FVGs), a required retrace/test, and a confirmation-based entry.Core Logic1) Opening Range (OR)• OR is defined as 09:30–09:35 (New York time).• OR High and OR Low are recorded.2) Opening Manipulation / Liquidity Sweep• Sweep above OR High = buy-side liquidity taken.• Sweep below OR Low = sell-side liquidity taken.• Optional: use first sweep direction only (prevents bias flipping).3) Large FVG Filter• FVG size must be at least 5 points.• FVG must form after the sweep.4) FVG Test Required• Price must retrace into the FVG zone (test) before any entry is allowed.5) Invalidation (No Inversion Before Entry)• Long setup invalid if price closes below the bottom of the FVG before entry.• Short setup invalid if price closes above the top of the FVG before entry.6) Entry Trigger (Confirmation)Entry occurs when a candle closes:• Above the higher of (previous candle high, FVG maker candle high) for longs, OR• Below the lower of (previous candle low, FVG maker candle low) for shorts.Risk Management• Stop Loss: 50 points from entry• Take Profit: 100 points from entry• Breakeven: stop moves to entry price after price reaches +50 points (50% to TP)Best Use• MNQ / NQ• 1-minute timeframe• NY session volatility
