Description

Ichimoku TK-Cross + Money Flow (SOL, 4H) - Tradleware edition (tradleware.com)A long-only trend-following strategy that combines the Ichimoku Kinko Hyo system with a Money Flow Index (MFI) confirmation filter. Built and tested specifically for SOL/USDT on the 4-hour timeframe. The ideaIchimoku is a complete trend system in one overlay. This strategy waits for three things to line up before going long:Trend turn — the Tenkan-sen (fast line) crosses above the Kijun-sen (slow equilibrium line), signalling upward momentum.Bullish regime — price is trading above the cloud (Kumo), confirming the larger trend is up, not a counter-trend bounce.Real money flow — the Money Flow Index (volume-weighted momentum) is above 50, confirming buying conviction is actually behind the move. On a volatile alt like SOL, this is what separates genuine breakouts from low-conviction fakeouts.Only when all three agree does it enter.Entry / exit / stopEntry: Tenkan crosses above Kijun, while price is above the cloud and MFI(14) > 50.Exit: price closes back below the Kijun-sen (trend equilibrium lost).Stop: the bottom of the cloud — if price loses the whole Kumo, the bullish regime is considered broken.Default settingsIchimoku: Tenkan 20 / Kijun 60 / Senkou B 120 (crypto-scaled for 4H; the cloud is projected forward by the Kijun length).MFI: length 14, minimum 50 (stable across 50–60 in testing).Costs modeled: 0.1% commission per side, 3 ticks slippage, 100% of equity per trade, no pyramiding.Orders fill at the next bar's open (process_orders_on_close=false).Intended useDesigned for SOL/USDT, 4-hour chart. The parameters are tuned for SOL's volatility profile and are not expected to transfer to other assets or timeframes without re-testing.Honest notesThis is a research tool, not a signal service. In out-of-sample testing the edge was modest (Sharpe ≈ 0.57) and rested on a small number of trades, so treat results as directional and paper-trade before risking capital. The strategy is long-only — in sustained downtrends it sits out or takes small losses rather than shorting. Past backtested performance does not predict future results. Nothing here is financial advice.
