Description
This strategy is designed for MNQ and NQ on the 5 minute timeframe. It focuses on trend continuation using structured EMA alignment, slope confirmation, and ATR based volatility expansion. The goal is to capture high probability pullbacks and breakdown moves during strong intraday trends while maintaining disciplined risk control.Core ConceptThe strategy trades only in the direction of the prevailing trend. Trend direction is defined by the relationship between a fast EMA and a slow EMA. A slope filter is applied to ensure momentum is present and to avoid flat consolidation environments. An ATR expansion filter confirms volatility participation before allowing entries.Entry LogicLong entries occur when price pulls back to the fast EMA within an uptrend and closes back above it, provided slope and volatility conditions are satisfied.Short entries occur either on pullbacks to the fast EMA within a downtrend or on breakdown continuation moves when price makes a new low in an established bearish structure. Breakdown logic helps capture strong trend days where price does not offer clean pullbacks.Dual Exit ModesScalp Mode is optimized for consistency. It uses a moderate ATR based stop and a controlled ATR target with earlier trailing activation. This mode aims for a higher win rate and smoother equity curve behavior.Runner Mode is optimized for larger directional moves. It uses a wider ATR target and delayed trailing activation, allowing trades more room to expand. This mode typically produces a lower win rate but higher average winner size and improved expectancy during strong trend sessions.Risk ManagementThe strategy uses ATR based dynamic stop loss and take profit levels. Trailing stops are optional and adaptive to volatility. A cooldown period after each exit prevents immediate re entry and reduces overtrading. Trading can be restricted to regular trading hours and positions can automatically close at session end.Best ConditionsThis strategy performs best during trending sessions with expanding volatility, especially during post open momentum or strong directional days. It is not designed for low volatility, range bound, or mean reversion environments.Recommended UseOptimized for MNQ and NQ on the 5 minute chart. Performance can improve when aligned with higher timeframe bias such as 15 minute or 1 hour structure.DisclaimerThis script is for research and educational purposes only.
